The opportunities to measure in the production process directly differ from that in the laboratory. There are demands for a fast and easy measurement (e.g. to control a dryer) with a high accuracy. The measurements of the moisture should be worked out without additional weighing or density determination.
In this field the patented method of Tews Elektronik shows a lot of advantages in comparisation with other methods.
There are two different instruments for process control available. The MW 3260 with a planar sensor will be integrated into the production stream directly. The possibility to use different planar sensors leads to a higher accuracy of the measurement. The bypass system MW 3200 takes samples via a system of valves automatically for a batch measurement of the production stream.

The Bypass Microwave Moisture Measuring Systems are developed for an industrial production process. Moisture measuring under production conditions is easily realised for many applications due to the robust stainless steel cabinet and the simple operation. Based on the patented microwave measuring method a very accurate moisture measurement is achieved, independent of surface structure, density, and colour of the material will be reached.
