Mid-range air measurements in cities or near industrial areas
The Alpha 115 Methane/TNMHC Analyser is a gas chromatograph (GC) specifically designed to measure concentrations of greenhouse gas methane in the ambient air. Simultaneously, the analyser provides the sum of all other hydrocarbons in the same measurement cycle for better determination of the total air pollution. The method utilised ensures that the instrument does not only measure the concentrations of the greenhouse gas methane but simultaneously presents the sum of all other hydrocarbons, even the ones that are usually difficult to detect such as oxygenated hydrocarbons.

The instrument contains a compact oven with a column that separates Methane from other hydrocarbons, and features an FID detector, resulting in two distinct peaks: one for Methane and one for TNMHC. The Alpha 115 holds a CE approval for EMC conformity.
